‘Chronicles of Trophimus’ follows an ex-militant soldier in North-East India grappling with undiagnosed PTSD, whose mythologized life runs parallel to the violent freedom struggle of the indigenous Naga people.

Silence In The Library (2022)

Student protesters trapped inside their university library prepare for armed forces to inevitably break through the doors. The film follows two characters on either side of the conflict; a university student disillusioned by the suffering all around him and a policeman leading the charge against the protesters but struggles to reconcile his duties with his morality.

Kumbh Mela (2019)

The Kumbh Mela is the largest religious event in the world, taking place once every six years and attracting more than 100 million pilgrims over the course of a month to the holy city of Allahabad, India.

In this short documentary we learn about the myth behind the celebration, and explore the vast temporary city that is erected on the banks of the Ganges River. From hash-smoking holy-men, overworked labourers, to the elaborate infrastructure required to house so many pilgrims, this VR documentary gives viewers the opportunity to a step into a whole new world of intoxicating celebration and spiritual fervour.

The Prey (2019)

A young woman finds herself alone with a drunk stranger at a secluded bus-stop. When the man follows her onto the bus and to her neighbourhood, she has to act quickly in order to save herself. In the dead of night, two strangers play a dangerous game of cat and mouse.

This is a black & white VR film that explores the suspense genre as well as editing action in VR.

My Mother’s Glass (2018)

This is a film about a young woman who comes home from work and spends the night on the phone with her father, oblivious to the ghostly spectre that follows her every move. We are left in the suspense of not knowing what will happen to the woman, but as we listen to the conversation between father & daughter, it becomes clear that things are not what they seem.

This was the first Virtual Reality short film made by the Whistling Woods International VR Lab.

After failing another audition Sonny comes across a video store and decides to buy himself a camcorder so that he can make audition tapes at home, but he can’t afford it yet. So when his uncle, Ravi Dada, offers him some work on a film set he takes up the offer.

Off Stage (2015)

‘Off Stage’ is a short documentary about the art of hand puppetry that is indigenous to Xiamen, China. Yang Zimik and Cai Peiqing explore the intricacies of the art-form through interviews with Mr. Chen, a retired puppet master.

There is a parallel narrative that observes & interprets the traditional puppet show performed by local artists on Gu Langyu Island through which we understand Mr. Chen’s ideas of inheritance, heritage and the duty of tradition.

Amidst a rapidly disintegrating household overwhelmed by its circumstance, Monica discovers the letter and must decide the fate of her family.
